Vw T5 Sliding Door Lock Mechanism Removal

Removing the slide door handle isn t as straight forward as other vehicles so allow a little longer.

Go easy starting at the top. Insert door handle 2 from outside into mounting bracket. Probably just loose bolts. Vw t5 door lock central locking removal of actuator and external door handle.

A very common fault on the vw t4 door locking mechanism is dropping the door pull. Push opening mechanism arrow back when doing this. T5 1 or t6 transporter. Locks work from the switch but not the remote.

Then check function with sliding door open. Installing install in reverse order but note the following. The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work. Takes about 2 mins to remove the inner trim panel that holds the table and all is revealed.
